A Cancer journey should not be faced alone. To meet the emotional and spiritual needs of people experiencing a cancer battle.

Hempfield United Methodist Church provides:

– CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

LIVING WITH CANCER, is an educational/spiritual/emotional/psychological support group open to anyone in the community who is currently battling cancer, in survivorship or is a caregiver. The group is led by cancer survivor, Brenda Coffin, LSW, SD, PCC, Hempfield UMC’s Minister of Spiritual Care and Counseling.

– CANCER COUNSELING & COACHING

A cancer diagnosis and journey through treatment and recovery is disorienting, disruptive and often devastating to individuals and families. Sometimes there are multiple issues, in addition to dealing with cancer.

PROFESSIONAL, HOLISTIC COUNSELING
is provided in a spiritual setting.

CANCER COACHING is a professional coach approach toward maintaining good self-care while going through active cancer, as well as being present- and future- focused to set action steps to journey well in life after cancer. Please call for a counseling or coaching appointment with HUMC’s Minister of Spiritual Care and Counseling, Brenda Coffin 717-285-5156, ext 268.

– PRE-SURGICAL VISITATION

Visitations can be arranged for cancer patients preparing for surgery at LGH or Physician’s Surgery Center. Requests should be made via email at bcoffin@hempfieldumc.org.
