LIVING WITH CANCER, is an educational/spiritual/emotional/psychological support group open to anyone in the community who is currently battling cancer, in survivorship or is a caregiver. Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study

All women are welcome to join! Kids Konnection & Club 56

Kids Konnection is our Sunday morning worship, teaching and team time. A wide array of children and youth programs begin at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Preschool Kids Konnection Preschool-aged children visit the Bible Land room each week, which is transformed into an excitingly different teaching location every unit, teaching kids about Jesus and His love for them. KidStuf, a ministry of Hempfield United Methodist Church in it’s 14th season, is an experience geared toward families of elementary-aged children. This 45-minute production is filled with fun skits, high-energy singing, Bible encounters, and audience interaction, all emphasizing Biblical virtues that we call Life Apps. Traditional Sunday school programs, although very impactful, involve an adult teaching a child for approximately 48 hours a year. Shout for Moms is a new small group forming just for women parenting teens and preteens. Meetings will discuss the age related challenges that teens and parents face.  Beginning September 20, meetings will be in room 172 and will be on the third Thursday of each month.

Community Fall Event

Join us for some fall community fun! Hempfield Cops and Rodders will have up to 150 classic cars with owners handing out treats. We will also have 3 food trucks at this event.  Tasteful costumes are encouraged. Then join us in the Sanctuary at 7 p.m. for a reptile show, “Explore God’s Creation”, with Jessie Rothacker. Before the show Officer Jason Skiles will present a review of trick or treat safety tips.

Fall Clean Up Day

Join us from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Nov. 4, to clean up our church property before winter. You can volunteer for either inside or outside activities. Lunch is provided. All tools also will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves, safety glasses – and a friend!
