Rev. John Longmire

Rev. John Longmire

I am daily amazed at the beauty and transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God draws us day-by-day into a deeper relationship, loving us unconditionally, giving us daily grace, and showing us new ways of living. Every day is an adventure to see what God has in store! It is a great privilege to serve such an excellent church of devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Hempfield is a church that is passionately devoted to making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Yet our work is truly not our own; we trust in God. St. Paul wrote:

“I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”  – Philippians 1:60

Reverend John Longmire has been serving in pastoral leadership in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1989.
