What to Expect
In general, Sunday morning services are a bit more formal in attire at the 8:30 a.m. service and casual at the 10 a.m. service. Feel free to wear what you like, whether you’re more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt or more dressed up.
Babies and toddlers are invited to our nurseries. We provide a safe and secure environment where your child will be well cared for while you worship with us. From our paid staff and volunteer helpers, your child will learn about God’s love and develop positive feelings about being at church.
Babies stay in the Crib Nursery from birth until they can walk well (about 12-14 months). At that time, they will be promoted to the Toddler Nursery near the Welcome Center. Toddlers stay in the Toddler Nursery from about 12 months (or when they are walking) until age two. The September after they turn two they will be promoted upstairs to the two-year-old Kids Konnection class.
Kids Konnection is our Sunday morning worship, teaching and team time. The Kids Konnection program offers a time of energetic, kid-oriented, God-focused worship; relevant and fun teaching of a Biblical truth as a large group; and, then the opportunity to break into smaller groups to build relationships with their peers. We provide children ages two through grade six with a nurturing environment where they are introduced to Jesus and His unconditional love, and immersed in His teachings. Children in fifth and sixth grades participate in our Club 56 program. This environment allows further fellowship time and more in-depth teaching and discussion for older elementary-aged kids. Our elementary children’s and family ministries complement each other to help fulfill our mission of helping children to know Jesus and make Him known.
Preschool Kids Konnection
Did you know that as early as two-years-old children begin making choices about values? Preschool aged children visit the Bible Land room each week, which is transformed into an excitingly different teaching location every unit, teaching kids about Jesus and His love for them. Creative sets, props, puppets, sound effects, lighting techniques, and music are used to teach the children Bible stories each week. After visiting Bible Land, children return to the classroom to have fun with an interactive lesson, helping them to apply what they learned in Bible Land to their own lives. They also enjoy a snack and play time in the classroom.
On Sundays, youth can attend Sunday Morning SHOUT, a morning program for middle school students in seventh and eighth grades while high school students can participate in Sunday Night SHOUT. Both Sunday programs are similar in nature and format yet are tailored to the specific age group.
*Please note – All volunteers wishing to serve with children, youth or vulnerable adults undergo Safe Sanctuary training to help protect these groups.
