Conviction of Judgment – John 16:8-11

When the Holy Spirit comes, he will convict the world about judgment… because the ruler of this world has been judged. John 16:8-11

Pastor John’s Notes:

One of the lies that Satan tells us is that he is a power to be feared. The truth is that he is already judged. Jesus Christ obtained victory over the power of Satan when he overcame the temptations in the wilderness. When Jesus emerged from the wilderness, he was able to cast out demons at will. He explained this by saying that no one can rob a strong man’s house unless he first binds the strong man. Jesus not only invites us to share in his victory but also in his power. Whenever we speak out the words, “In Jesus’ name,” we are claiming to act as his representatives, and the powers of evil must obey.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, you are victorious over all evil. Teach me never to fear evil, but to speak against it in your name. Let your kingdom ever increase while the powers of evil ever decrease.
