The Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23

The Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Pastor John’s Notes:

All of the spiritual fruit that Paul describes here is available to every Christian believer. These are not like the various gifts of the Spirit that are given to each person according to the Spirit’s pleasure; they are all given to everyone who receives the Spirit through Christ. Spiritual fruit doesn’t come in its fullness all at once; takes time to ripen. So it is that as we continue to walk by the Spirit, we will grow in love, joy, and peace.

Prayer:

Lord, let the fruit of your Spirit begin to grow within me. Let each of the spiritual blessings of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control be mine. Let them ripen and grow to their fullness. Let my life produce a harvest of righteousness.
