So then, let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust themselves to a faithful Creator while doing what is good. (1 Peter 4:19)
Pastor John’s Notes:
The final word Peter has for us about suffering is that God is in control. God is our Creator and is fully engaged in the lives of his people. Our hardships do not go beyond God’s notice, but God himself is with us to strengthen and encourage us so we can entrust the circumstances of our lives into his benevolent care.
Heavenly Father, thank you that you are a God who deeply cares about your childrens’ needs. Bestow your blessings on me, that I can rest my soul in you. And if I am called to suffer for my faith, provide me with the calmness of spirit and soul by which I can keep myself in peace.
