Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)
God desires to speak His Word to us, but we can also speak His Word to one another. This happens when we feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit to speak to a brother or sister with love. Sometimes this might be a word of conviction when we see someone going astray. Other times it might be work of encouragement for someone who is downhearted and depressed. God uses us to bless one another, and there is joy in the deep friendships that result.
Lord, open my heart to my spiritual brothers and sisters that I might love them as you love. But also open my mouth to speak words that come from you so that they might be blessed.
Pay attention to the promptings of the Spirit. God will sometimes put words in your heart that He wants you to speak. When this happens, speak them in boldness but also in love. You will know that God has used you when you see the blessings that result.
