A Journey Towards Forgiveness is the topic for the second annual June retreat open to the Hempfield UMC church body and public. Join Minister of Spiritual Care and Counseling, Brenda Coffin, LSW, PCC, SD in learning a contemplative style pathway to forgiving yourself and others. You no longer need to carry these burdens as Jesus wants to set you free: Release, Receive and Resolve them. Learn what the bible says about forgiveness, and why it is important to understand the concept behind “it was wrong and It matters” before you say I forgive you. Learn about “cheap forgiveness” and the six R’s of forgiveness. Experiential Labyrinth work laced with prayerfulness and intention will be led by Certified Labyrinth facilitator, Carmel Stabley and background drums by Chip Coffin. A mindfulness healing experiential as well as contemplative prayers will be woven into the sessions. Pay $10 when you register here or by check at the lobby table. Lunch is included.
