Join us for a special Christmas Kidstuf Production! KidStuf, a ministry of Hempfield United Methodist Church in it’s 14th season, is an experience geared toward families of elementary-aged children. This 45-minute production is filled with fun skits, high-energy singing, Bible encounters, and audience interaction, all emphasizing Biblical virtues that we call Life Apps. Traditional Sunday school programs, although very impactful, involve an adult teaching a child for approximately 48 hours a year. Conversely, parents spend about 3000 hours per year with their children. KidStuf aims to “tap in” to this available parent/child teaching time. With the parents SHARING the experience and viewing first-hand what their children are experiencing, they are better prepared to further discuss it after they leave the production. This is consistent with God’s command in Deuteronomy 6:7, parents are to teach their children “ . . .when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up”. At KidStuf, families watch skits, which have both kid-and adult-based humor, sing audience-friendly worship songs, watch a short video clip, and experience an interactive Bible lesson TOGETHER. KidStuf meets at 6:30 PM the first and third Wednesdays September through April at Hempfield United Methodist Church in the MPR. The public is invited to come and share in this fun, family experience. Nursery care is available for infant and those preschoolers who don’t wish to attend with their family with advanced registration.
