Hempfield in five

Newer to Hempfield or curious about who we are?

Getting connected can begin with a simple conversation. Take five minutes after worship to meet a church leader, hear five things that shape our life together, and ask your questions. We’d love to hear a little of your story, too.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time, returning after some time away, or have been attending and want to know more, join us for Hempfield in Five.

A simple way to connect, respond, or take a next step.

Whether you’re here for the first time or have been part of Hempfield for years, we encourage you to fill out the following Connect Card. Use this form anytime you want to respond to something you heard, ask a question, or take a next step!

Five Things to Know About Hempfield

1. Jesus is at the center.

Everything begins with Jesus and finds its purpose in him. At Hempfield, we seek to follow Jesus together, allowing his grace and love to shape how we worship, build relationships, and live throughout the week.

“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

2. Scripture grounds us, and the Holy Spirit empowers us.

We look to Scripture to shape our lives and depend upon the Holy Spirit to make our faith living and active. We make room for honest questions as we learn together, prayerfully listening for God’s guidance and putting what we learn into practice.

“All Scripture is God-breathed…”

The gospel comes “with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.”

3. You can be known and belong here.

The church is one body made up of many people. Every person matters, and we grow by becoming known and sharing life with others. We want to help you find relationships where your story is heard, your presence matters, and you can both receive and offer care.

“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

4. Everyone has a next faithful step.

None of us has arrived. God continues inviting each of us to grow and move forward in faith. Whether you’re beginning to explore faith or have followed Jesus for years, we’ll help you consider a step that deepens your trust in God and your connection with others.

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 3:13–14, NIV — Read the complete passage

5. God has given you gifts to use.

Every person has something meaningful to contribute for the good of others and the work God is doing in the world. We’ll help you discover how your gifts, experiences, and interests can become ways to serve with purpose, both within the church and in our wider community.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”
