We Serve as Christ’s Representatives in the World

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. ”

1 Peter 4:8-11

The Serve Ministry Team exists to promote and support outreach ministries that will spread the work and love of God in our local community, country and around the world.  Our goals are to share testimonies that show how HUMC’s congregation and Serve ministries are changing lives and expanding God’s Kingdom by serving as Christ’s representatives in the world and caring for one another in mutual love; support and manage our domestic and foreign missions and non-profit outreach activities in a manner consistent with our resources and vision; learn more about those in need in our community and raise awareness in our congregation of opportunities for outreach with these situations.
