Pastor Kevin Kresge

Pastor Kevin Kresge

I absolutely love serving at Hempfield. It’s an honor to be able to serve at a church where I’m also a member of the local community. My goal as a pastor has always been to lead God’s people in a direction that causes them to grow and become disciples. Growth is not always the comfortable or easy path. Usually it involved some challenges and frustration, but it’s what God calls us up to as we become part of His story. What I’ve always found is that relying fully on God in all things is the usually the path He wants us on.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Pastor (Rev.) Kevin Kresge has been serving as a pastor in the Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2016. He previously served as lead pastor at Bird-in-Hand UMC for 3 years before being appointed to Hempfield where he has served since 2019. Prior to his time in pastoral leadership, Kevin served as the Worship Leader at Covenant UMC in Lancaster, PA. Kevin studied music performance and music business, and now works part-time in marketing outside of the church. He and his wife Iris live with their son and super-cool dog.
