Our staff consists of our pastoral team, worship and ministry directors, youth and children’s ministries leaders, our pre-school leaders and teachers, and operational personnel.
Our staff comes from a variety of backgrounds, but all are called to teach and lead our community to know Jesus Christ and raise up generations of new disciples.

Pastor David Woolverton
David E. Woolverton has been a pastor for over 39 years — serving churches facing turn-around ministry situations. He previously served Hempfield Church from 1988-2003 – during which time, he met and married his wife, Kristine. Together they have been married for over 35 years. David has a doctorate in Conflict Leadership and has had intensive clinical training in hospital chaplaincy. My family and I have attended Hempfield for the past three years. Originally from Michigan, I am an ordained pastor in The Wesleyan Church and previously served for six years as a connections pastor. Since then, I have served as a hospital chaplain in Detroit and with Penn State Health in Hershey and Lancaster. I’m grateful and excited to step into this role and help newcomers and longtime attenders feel welcomed, known, and connected within the life of the church.
